[pept:21] FDDO-3 CFP
Dear colleague,
Please consider sending a paper to 3rd ACM Workshop on
Feedback-Directed and Dynamic Optimization (FDDO-3), held in
conjunction with MICRO-33 in December, 2000, at Monterey, California.
The paper submission deadline is Friday, October 13, 2000.
You can find a full call for papers at http://www.eecs.harvard.edu/fddo/.
This workshop provides a forum for the burgeoning fields of dynamic
and feedback-directed optimization. The goal of this workshop is to
bring together researchers, practitioners, and implementers in these
areas and have them present their work in a setting that encourages
collaboration and the exchange of ideas. The scope of the workshop
spans the spectrum from hardware techniques to software
approaches. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
o Systems for dynamic compilation, binary translation, and continuous
profiling.
o New and innovative analyses, transformations, and intermediate
representations for dynamic and feedback-directed optimization.
o Architectural and system support for dynamic and feedback-directed
optimization.
o Language extensions for dynamic and adaptive compilation.
o Novel approaches to dynamic partial evaluation and program
specialization.
o Hardware and software mechanisms for low-cost performance
monitoring.
o Methods for supporting garbage collection, multithreading, and
exceptions in dynamic and feedback-directed systems.
o Techniques for increasing the flow of information between hardware
and software.
o Procedures for estimating the benefit of feedback-directed
optimization.
o Experience with real feedback-directed systems and large, complex
applications.
The best papers will be published in the Journal of Instruction-Level
Parallelism.
Please forward to any interested parties.
Thanks,
Mike Smith
